Question 1

Are you an authorized electrical contractor?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we are registered with Elsäkerhetsverket and affiliated with Installatörsföretagen. All electrical work is fully certified, compliant, and insured.

Question 2

Do you offer fixed pricing or hourly rates?

Accepted Answer

We offer fixed prices on standard installations like electrical panels and EV chargers, as well as clear hourly rates for diagnostics and smaller jobs.

Question 3

How does the Swedish ROT tax deduction work?

Accepted Answer

Private clients are entitled to a 30% tax deduction on labor costs directly on the invoice. We manage all reporting with the Swedish Tax Agency.

Question 4

Which areas in Stockholm do you service?

Accepted Answer

Based in Southern Stockholm, we serve private homeowners, housing cooperatives, and businesses across Greater Stockholm with fast response times.

Question 5

What should I do in case of an electrical emergency or power outage?

Accepted Answer

Safety first! If your RCD (jordfelsbrytare) trips repeatedly or you smell burning plastic, do not touch anything. Smista Elinstallation offers fast assistance for emergency electrical faults in Greater Stockholm. We do not have a formal 24/7 emergency service, but we always try to help both new and existing customers every day and at all times of the year when an emergency occurs. Call us and we will assess the situation and dispatch a certified electrician as quickly as possible.

Question 6

Which electrical installations provide the biggest savings on my energy bill?

Accepted Answer

The fastest ways to lower your energy costs are installing smart home controls (like Plejd) and upgrading to energy-efficient LED lighting. By scheduling your heating and lighting according to spot electricity prices, you can reduce energy waste by up to 20%. We handle all types of electrical work, from smart homes to safe EV charger installations.

Question 7

Can I use the ROT deduction and Green Tech deduction at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Yes! When we install an EV charger, we apply the Green Technology deduction, giving you a 50% discount on both materials and labor directly on the invoice. For other general electrical work in your home (like upgrading a fuse board), we deduct 30% of the labor cost via the ROT deduction. We handle all the paperwork with the Swedish Tax Agency for you.

Question 8

Why is it important to hire a certified electrical company?

Accepted Answer

Faulty wiring is one of the leading causes of house fires. Smista Elinstallation AB is a fully authorized electrical contractor approved by the Swedish National Electrical Safety Board (Elsäkerhetsverket) with over 30 years of combined experience. This guarantees a safe installation, valid warranties, and the official documentation often required by your insurance company.
