Terms & Conditions

The following terms apply to services performed by Smista Elinstallation AB.

1. Validity and Working Hours

Validity of Quote: Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Standard Working Hours: All prices apply to work performed on non-holiday weekdays between 07:00 to 16:00.

Price Reservations: Smista Elinstallation AB reserves the right to adjust prices in the event of significant price increases for materials from suppliers that are beyond the company's control.

2. Installation Conditions, Protection & Cleaning

Accessibility: Prices assume clear and unobstructed access for electricians/technicians. In the event of obstructions or poor accessibility (e.g. if work areas are not cleared), the customer will be billed for labor at the current hourly rate plus any additional materials required, even for fixed prices.

Protection of Property: As a general rule, the customer is responsible for covering furniture, floors, and sensitive surfaces, and for moving valuable property adjacent to the work area. Smista Elinstallation AB is not liable for damages resulting from insufficient protective covering. For full-scale project management or specific contracts, other arrangements may be agreed upon in writing, whereby Smista Elinstallation AB assumes responsibility for protection as per agreement.

Heights: Prices apply to installations at fixture heights below 3 meters. For work at greater heights, the customer will be billed for the rental of scaffolding, cherry pickers, or scissor lifts.

Cleaning: Work always includes rough cleaning (collection of cable scrap and packaging). The customer is responsible for fine cleaning.

3. Execution, Existing Installation & Documentation

Authorization: All work is performed by authorized personnel in accordance with ELSÄK-FS 2017:4 with General Electrical Authorization (AL).

Condition of Existing Installation: Smista Elinstallation AB is not liable for defects or damages arising from the condition of the existing installation, such as brittle cables or older fixtures (e.g. Bakelite) that risk cracking during handling due to age.

Hidden Obstructions & Surfaces: Smista Elinstallation AB is not liable for conduit blockages, pinched pipes, hoses detached from junction boxes, or hidden/covered junction boxes inside walls or joists. In the event that these must be located, as well as during standard drilling, chasing, or cable routing, Smista Elinstallation AB is not responsible for the restoration of surface finishes (such as plastering, wallpapering, painting, or carpentry). Furthermore, the company is not liable for minor material damage or chipping (so-called blowout) that may occur on the reverse side of walls or substrates during standard through-drilling.

Corrective Actions: Any work required to resolve hidden obstructions or defects caused by previous installers will be billed as ongoing labor at the current hourly rate.

Documentation: Smista Elinstallation AB reserves the right to photograph completed work for documentation and anonymized use in marketing purposes.

4. Economy, Payment & Cancellation

VAT: All prices are stated exclusive of VAT unless otherwise explicitly stated in the quote or price proposal.

Price Information: Applicable hourly rates as well as prices for travel expenses, equipment rental, and administrative fees are provided by Smista Elinstallation AB upon request.

Payment Terms: 10 days for private individuals, 20 days for companies/organizations. Late payment interest is charged at 10% upon payment reminder.

Advance Payment (A Conto): For projects exceeding SEK 50,000 excl. VAT, Smista Elinstallation AB reserves the right to invoice 50% of the total value as a startup cost.

Cancellation: Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours prior to the agreed time. In the event of late cancellation or if electricians/technicians are denied access to the site, travel expenses and an attendance fee equivalent to 2 hours of labor at the current hourly rate will be billed.

Additional Work (ÄTA): Work exceeding the quote will be billed as ongoing labor at the current hourly rate plus materials.

5. Tax Reductions (ROT & Green Technology)

Responsibility: The customer is responsible for ensuring they have sufficient remaining tax reduction ceiling (ROT or Green Technology) and for providing correct details (personal identity number / property designation).

Administration: Smista Elinstallation AB administers the initial application to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) at no extra cost.

Rejection/Re-evaluation: In the event of rejection, the customer will be invoiced for the remaining amount directly. If the customer requests that Smista Elinstallation AB performs a new or adjusted application, an administrative fee will be charged for this additional work.

6. Warranty and Material Liability

Company Materials: Manufacturer warranties apply to materials supplied by Smista Elinstallation AB. The company provides a 2-year warranty on installation work performed.

Customer Materials: No warranty is provided for the function, durability, or quality of materials when the customer supplies the installation materials themselves (such as sockets, switches, mirrors, lamps, etc.). Should it turn out that the customer-supplied product does not work, is broken, or is incorrect, Smista Elinstallation AB reserves the right to invoice for travel expenses, troubleshooting, and hours worked at the current hourly rate. Handling of defects in customer-supplied materials, returns, or wait times will always be billed at the current hourly rate.

7. Dispute Resolution

Disputes: Disputes regarding commercial entities (companies) shall be finally settled in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Southern Sweden Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The seat of arbitration shall be Stockholm. For consumers (private individuals), Swedish law applies, and disputes shall primarily be settled by the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) or a court of general jurisdiction.
